Law of Attraction and Gratitude
July 22, 2008
More than ever I have been showing more gratitude for the things that have been manifesting into my life. I am learning to let go more often now. Learning to just drift into the current and let it all just flow. I still do have my days where I’m completely resisting everything. Had two bad days in a row. Saturday was scorching hot, I decided to go to the lake when I should have gone to sleep. But honestly, we get like a handful of days like this in New Hampshire how could I just waste it away by sleeping? A day like this past Saturday is something to definitely be grateful for up here in the North-East. I needed to escape the noise coming from the other tenants and get some peace and quiet. In any event I was up at the lake for a few hours hanging out, didn’t go swimming due to snakes and leeches that freak me out lol and I was over tired from having spent the entire night up.
In a way I am very grateful for my experience this weekend. While I may have been experiencing negative emotions, it put me in touch with what I really want. I am grateful for the blurriness wiped from my eyes that was blinding me from my original intention. I listened to my Abraham Cd’s and I read Napoleon Hill and it set me back on course. I am grateful for the exhaustion I felt because maybe finally I will learn my lesson to not deprive my body of much needed rest and rejuvenation. I am grateful that I won really great Alli deal auction tonight and can start taking it again to get back on track with my weight success. That reminds me, I want to put my ideal weight on my scale. And still I am grateful for my state of mind this weekend mostly due to the fact that I came up with what I feel is a hugely creative, and successful marketing angle for a new business venture for my brother.
I am hugely grateful for a lot of things. I’m grateful for Rhonda Byrne creating The Secret Movie in a way that woke up a mass of people. She spoke the message that so many other teachers before her said in a way that made sense to people who were not on a vibration to grasp the message. I had read Conversations with God, I, II and III and didn’t understand any of it. I bought Tony Robbins audio books and just felt like he was talking over my head. The same with Suze Orman and even listening to Wayne Dyer on PBS. Up until a year ago it was all talking heads saying something to me but I just wasn’t quite getting it. Don’t get me wrong either because I think every one of these people is hugely inspiring, uplifting, and intelligent. I just didn’t “get” their message. The Secret is sort of the Primer for me personally that opened me up to all of the rest.
So if I can recommend anything, I would say find a process that works for you. Find a teacher who works for you. Eventually I am sure you will touch on a few that all of us do, Esther and Jerry Hicks, Louise Hay, Wayne Dyer, and so many others. Each offers their own perspective on the law of attraction. They all say the same thing about having appreciation and gratitude for everything. Appreciate the hard stuff, so that you can definitely be that much more grateful for the good stuff. Express Gratitude today.
