Grateful for Gifts

October 8, 2008

I cannot express enough how grateful I have been for the gifts I have been receiving. It’s my day sixteen of my fourth season of the one hundred day challenge. I have to admit that I have been kind of lax on my processes. I haven’t really had the time to meditate or do much of anything. I did my new veision board at the start of the new challenge but now I need to do a new one to focus more on other things. I have been a little forgetful with saying my affirmations too. The only thing I have been doing is my gratitude journal. My actual physical one that is. Every day or every other day I take the time to write at least 5 things down in the journal.

Yesterday I had to run out for a few things at the grocery store. I’ve been looking to get my hands on some fresh sage for a recipe that I would like to make some time this week and the grocery store that I was in a few days ago did not have it. So I decided to go to a different one and when I arrived wouldn’t you know it, my mother and her husband had just arrived as well and I ran into her as she was going into the store. So… she asked me to help her shop because she’s semi-disabled. She was happy that she had someone to help her because usually he just waits in the car for her to be finished. But anyway we were in the fish aisle and i saw that steamers were only 2.99 per pound and I pointed that out to her, so she was like I will buy you them if you would like them, in fact I will buy all of your groceries today! So how’s that for getting something really good this week? LOL.

And like I’ve said the only thing I have been doing is saying my affirmations when I can remember to say them and paying attention to my gratitude journal and being thankful for everything that I have. That is the most important thing. I was very happy to see my mother yesterday and she was happy to see me too. So we had fun and shopped and yapped and it was just a good day. That’s just the way we like it.
